General Standards of Web Site Designs in Singapore
How many of you have seen web site design by Singapore web design companies?
What is the general focus here?
I have seen so many web site design by local companies and very often, we're really slow in moving forward. Many of the web site designs are totally based on pure design and purely "because I think this is good". Many focus on, flash is good, the more technologically advance the web site looks, the better.
Have everyone forgot that corporate web site is for human usage? It is not a tech show?
Most clients request web companies to design their web site base on their personal instinct, how they like it or not, how they think it is. It is definitely important that we as web designers respect their views but the most important thing is not that, it is their users because if their users are satisfied, end of the day, it will help their business.
Most people here don't even understand the reason for the existence of their web site. Your corporate web site should be there for the following reason.
While most companies always feel that they need one because their competitor has one, there is more underlying reason besides that.
If the sky is falling, don't wait till then. Prepare for it.

- You are losing market share to the competitor over time.
